An Island Unknown
The sun caressing ancient volcanic rock, the ocean ebbing to and fro, waiting only for what
comes next.
This iconic island seems worlds away from natural disasters in other distant lands.
The people native to this iconic dot on an atlas have their own crosses to bear, but the food,
the culture, the endless smiles are guaranteed to welcome all.
Worldly people travel and travel until they stumble across St Helena Island which is then
ticked off their bucket lists.
We’ve been called an island unknown with only handfuls of visitors making the long trek
across the South Atlantic Ocean.
But to us as “Saints”, she is more precious than the jewels in the King of England’s crown.
