But here long enough
To feel at home
Nestled in my
Site specific patch
Of Point
Peninsula
Reminded of the
Mainland by
Occasional fleeting
Views of hazy
Snowy peaks
Hovering on the far
Horizon
And the daily view framed
At regular intervals
By the window
Half way up
My stairs
Of ferries and planes
To-ing and Fro-ing
Reminders of
The constant
Connection and
Reliance on
The mainland
To preserve our
Island Idyll
